These aids in understanding the Bible contain interpretations of verses that you have a difficult time deciphering the messages they hold for you. For those of you who are serious in your study of Scripture, each one of these aids are truly indispensable.

1. "The Illustrated Guide to Biblical History" by Kendell Easley

This overview is presented in a very easy-to-understand and follow manner. This book enables you to locate specific people and events on the correct timeline as they occurred in the Bible at a very quick glance. This book also has many colored photographs and maps so you can see where all of these incredible events took place.

2. "The Three-In-One Bible Reference Companion" by Thomas Nelson

This is one of my favorite Bible reference guides. The book is a combination concordance, contains a topic index and glossary of terms. Each word entry contains a definition and the particular Bible verse where it can be found. This is a book that makes it easy for you to browse through topics as these are arranged in an alphabetical order. All of the most important words listed in the Bible are in this book.

This Bible reference book, which was first published in 1991, has become one of the fastest selling aid. End Time Book Reviews

For those of you who are looking for good bottom-line knowledge on end time events as specifically prophesied to occur by our Lord through His Word, here is a list of some of the best books on this hot topic.

The authors of the books chosen in this section are highly regarded as experts in the field. The writers will help people understand the Book of Revelation, which is considered as the most important book in the Bible.

I believe we are truly living in the end times and each Christian should have some of this bottom-line knowledge under their belts so they can help explain this to both other Christians who do not have much knowledge on this subject, and also to other nonbelievers who are too sensing something in the air with the way many of the end time events are now starting to come to pass..

"Are We Living in the End Times?" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins

The co-authors of the best-seller "Left Behind" series have written a very good factual book on all of the main end time events that will be occurring leading up to the visible return of Jesus back to our earth. Tim LaHaye has written several good non-fiction, factual books on end time events and I believe this to be one of his better books. Goes into very good detail on all of these end time events along with all of the Scripture verses to back it all up.

"Revelation Unveiled" By Tim LaHaye

This book is the best I have seen from Tim LaHaye to-date. Aside from the end time events that lead up to the second coming of Jesus to earth, LaHaye shows what will happen in the 1,000-year millennium kingdom when Jesus will literally rule this earth from the city of Jerusalem. Also provided are the details of the final ending, the New Heaven and New Earth. This is one of the best books on the topic. I can’t recommend this particular book highly enough.

"The End Times Controversy" by Tim LaHaye

This book about the end times is the author’s answer to some critics who faced difficulties in interpreting the Bible from more of a literal point of view. There is a big debate whether or not there will be a rapture, whether or not a real antichrist will really come, etc. Mr. LaHaye provides answers to the questions on these topics in this book. Highly recommend this book if you want answers to some of the debates going on with this topic.

Remembering The Advantages of the Wreaths

This article will give you some good ideas on the benefits of artificial Christmas Wreaths

Let’s face it, the moment you hear "artificial Christmas wreaths," you automatically think about those ugly plastic wreaths that you hang outside your door during the Christmas season. This might have been true decades ago, but today even artificial wreaths hardly look artificial at all. Walking into a store and checking out these "plastic wreaths," will definitely give you a bit of a surprise since they look so real and far from plastic. Similar to artificial Christmas trees, the quality of artificial Christmas wreaths have improved throughout the decades.

Before we discuss any further, let’s take a look at how this whole practice of placing wreaths came into place. Back in the day, pagan worship believed that anybody who was given the wreath was seen as receiving divine favor from the gods. In most beliefs, the circle symbolized eternity because it has no sides and therefore, no end and beginning. The druids were fond believers of this notion as well. As time passed by, most of these beliefs mingled and interchanged, giving birth to a new set of ideas and beliefs about the Christmas wreath, like the ones we know today.

Christianity took the wreath to mean and symbolize the crown of thorns that Jesus wore on his crucifixion day. Christians already have their own spin on the meaning of the circle. Although it still symbolized eternity, it is taken to mean the eternal love of Christ when he died for everybody’s sins.

Even if you are using traditional or artificial Christmas wreaths, the more you know why and how it came to be used, will make it more special.

There is no denying that traditional wreaths has its benefits, however, it might be difficult to find them. Thus, most people are turning to artificial wreaths instead.

There are many advantages to having artificial wreaths as opposed to having authentic ones. Here are a few reasons below:

They retain their "freshness." Authentic wreaths require plenty of care and attention. They have to be taken cared for properly in order to retain their freshness. However, with artificial wreaths, you don’t have to worry about it. It will look fresh and new from the moment you buy it, up until you take it out of the box to reuse by next year.

Variety is not a problem when it comes to artificial Christmas wreaths. They are available in different colors, designs, as well as sizes. All you need to do is look for the right one that fits your needs and requirements for the space you have. When looking for a specific color or size to fit your space, the variety could be endless.

They are easy to handle. Another great thing about these kinds of wreaths is that they do not get deformed easily. They also do not fade. Some wreaths you can buy half done, so that you can easily add your own creativity to them and turn them into something that showcases your personality and style.

Artificial Christmas wreaths are great pieces of decoration for the holidays. Knowing a little about its history makes it even easier to place them on our homes since the meaning and significance is imbibed throughout.

2. "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer

In this book, Joyce Meyer tells us that the Bible contains a teaching that says we are transformed by renewing our minds. As a result, our minds are the battlefield between God, the devil and our flesh.

You are what you think. You can become what you think. This is one of the best books she has ever written and she discusses one of the most important areas of spiritual development in a believer’s life.

3. "Be Anxious For Nothing: The Art of Casting Your Cares and Resting in God" by Joyce Meyer

In the fast-paced, high-stress world in which we now all live in, many people are having a hard time in finding any true peace. They are worrying about anything and everything. One of the greatest commands given to us by our Lord is to learn how to be anxious for nothing. Joyce does a very good job in covering the appropriate Scripture verses on this command and some of the ways you can learn how to do this in your own personal life.

She uses the lessons that she has learned herself as she admits that she also used to worry and complain constantly about everything. She says that only after going through these that she settled down and enjoy this life to the fullest.

John Bevere Book Review

The following article is part of our series on doing reviews of some of the best Christian books on the market.

"Thus Saith the Lord" by John Bevere

While the gift of prophecy is considered a wonderful calling and blessing, there is but another side of the coin — an aspect that many people usually fail to take into consideration. This may bring untold harm, torment and serious misery to a misguided person who is trying to fiercely believe on the Lord. There are some unwritten rules of the game and people should not easily believe and succumb to false worship.

The author, John Bevere, explains the flip side to this gift and gives real life experiences. He talks about people who follow a false word by a false prophet or by a prophet who has made a mistake. This book should be read by all pastors and anyone else who believes in the gift of prophecy.

People who who do not know how to judge a word given to them by a prophet have married the wrong people and have taken up the jobs that wrong for them.

On a scale of 1-10, this book is a solid 10 - especially in the end times we are now living in where the Bible tells us that that false teachers and false prophets will be coming our way. It is advisable to be armed with the right knowledge on the issue.

There are actually 3 volumes that tackle on the development of the Lord’s prophets as well as how people with the same calling should respond and deal with such gift. Hamon has been known to have learned a lot about the various trial and errors he has gone through in this personal journey.

The author, in his personal life, learned much through trial and error about his gift. His teachings can provide knowledge for personal growth in this area if you have been called by the Lord to walk in this gift and office.

The other two volumes are:

2 - God’s Prophetic Move Today (Prophets 2)

b) "Prophets Pitfalls and Principles: God’ Prophetic People Today (Prophets 3)
